FUTURE MATILDA NAMED AS WOMENS FOOTBALL AMBASSADOR – Cortnee Vine to Promote Female Football at Roselea FC
Roselea Football Club, are delighted to announce the engagement of Future Matilda, Cortnee Vine as the latest Football Ambassador for this progressive club in the North West Sydney Women’s Football association.
Vine, originally a Brisbane junior has been capped as a Young Matilda at both u17 and u20 levels and is a member of the new Future Matildas’ programlaunched by FFA in recent weeks. She most naturally slots into a team as a striker and has made her mark in the W-League at Brisbane Roar between 2015-17 and at the Newcastle Jets in the recent 2017-18 season.
As Football Ambassador for Roselea FC, Cortnee will seek to be a role model of all our junior players, especially our junior girls. She will offer existing Roselea FC players mentoring and development through coaching and other team support. She will also seek to develop greater overall female participation in football and promote Roselea FC as the local club of choice for new and aspiring female players.
The Ambassadorship is the brainchild of Rohan Primrose, Roselea FC Vice-President, Women’s Football who said when launching Cortnee as the 2018 Ambassador
“ We are excited to have Future Matilda, Cortnee Vine on board as Football Ambassador for 2018. Having a Future Matilda directly involved in our club is inspirational for our current, and future female players”.
